Why I choose Computer Science

Working with numbers is my cup of tea. I really like natural sciences especially Math, Physics, and Chemistry ( But not that good to get any achievements 🙃). It is just very interesting and enjoyable to answer the question "why it is?". I really like to discuss with others about common natural phenomena.

I started programming when i was in high school. I learned C++ as my first programming language. Back in the day, i only learned how to solve some basic algorithms other than right now, not only the solution, but also the optimization - definitely the hardest part :)

My Skills

Programming

My study focuses on mathematical problems, mainly in AI, Machine Learning, and Signal/Image Processing. I also read lots of documentation about AI automation, computer systems, CI/CD workflows, and system optimization. Sometimes, I do math for 3D modelling or animated visualizations (just for fun, btw).

  • Languages: C/C++, Python, Java, Typescript, Bash.
  • Databases: MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, ChromaDB.
  • Machine Learning & AI: Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, Transformers, Diffusers, LangChain.
  • Backend & Web: Spring Boot, Quarkus, Maven, React, REST, gRPC.

Tech Stacks

  • Development & Operations: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog.
  • Data & Storage: Supabase, Qdrant.
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, MS Azure.
  • Virtualization: RHEV, OpenStack, VMware ESXi.

Fundamental Knowledge

  • Computer Science: Algorithms, OOP, Kernel & System, Networking.
  • AI & Data: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Feature Learning/Engineering, RAG, OCR.
  • Signal Processing: Digital Signal/Image Processing.
  • Engineering Practices: CI/CD Workflows, Vector Database/Embedding/Search.

Operating System

I use Linux as my main Operating System for most of my work. I started using Fedora when I was in high school. And now, I use Arch Linux "by the way" and some popular RedHat distros (RHEL, Oracle, CentOS) at work. For homelab, self server, definitely i choose the most lightweight and stable distro, Debian.

I use Windows only for ... playing games ... and ... MS Visual Studio, which only supports Windows due to its reliance on DLLs, so ... 🤕

Free time only for studying???

I am not that crazy for only studying even in the free time. I play some "wjbu" games such as Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail. I usually read books, mangas, or daily tech newspapers whenever the phone is on my hand. I also played FPS games CS2 on Steam and Valorant (but very rarely right now). Terraria and Oxygen Not Included are two "offline" games that I really spent time playing. I highly recommend playing these two survival and adventure games. The Earth? ...

Why The Earth? ... It is just where we are living :D. I came up with the idea of adding the 3D Earth model to the page when looking for ways to decorate it.
